Chileans are concerned with the waste generation.
Environment and Climate Change Canada, under the Canada-Chile Agreement on Environmental Cooperation has committed to support the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from the waste sector in Chile.
Reciclo Orgánicos program will include a strong component of stakeholder participation and will consist of: designing and enabling the separation of organic sources by building the appropriate infrastructure and training municipal staff through workshops and awareness-raising in all communities, including schools and Institutions.
Here you will be able to find the program progress and track all major outcomes, including relevant metrics such as: tonnes of organics diverted from landfills, amount of GHG captured, communities involved, among others.
